Running nose

I wonder why is it called so. Agreed, some people sneeze so hard that their nose may break away from their face, but surely it cannot run on its own.. because it doesn't have legs you dumbo. (I am laughing my nose out..imagining the sight of my nose running away and carrying my specks with it.. hehehe). Needless to say, I have cold and the quantity of outflow from my nose for the past two days is similar to that of a tap attached to those water carrying lorries, running in full flow. (There is sudden illumination all around me..because a lighted bulb is hanging magically in midair just above my head) Brilliant!! Now I know why is it called running nose, because it is a cruel comparison with the running tap. (Thunderous applause is heard in the background as I try hard to restrain the output of my nose from falling on my keyboard)

Had been to pesit, after a long time. Not because there was a sudden surge of affection towards my (old?) college or its lecturers. I had to apply for my TC (Transfer certificate). Richie gave me company..I dont know if it was his affection towards pesit/lecturers or just the lack of anything better to do, that made him come with me. So there we were, on a hot sunny saturday, in pesit campus.

I wouldnt say that everything went smooth. The first person to vent out his frustration on us was the old thatha manning the 'prepaid' parking area. It was because of a misleading board directing visitors to park their two wheelers in prepaid parking area (and also not heeding to Richie's words).

The next person who seemed to take a lot of pleasure in irritating me was this guy in office, whose sole qualification I suppose is that he can ensure that nobody will ever enter the office unless it is absolutely necessary. I was talking to this new face (for me atleast) in the office about the process for getting my TC when the newbie asked his help. He half shouted the details and told me to do the impossible..of getting a letter from iitb asking for my TC. I know the admin at iitb is not very cooperative (to put it mildly), so I was left with no option but to request him to manage with the offer letter from iitb. Ofcourse he did not accept it .. raised a few objections/doubts and finally after some more pleading agreed to 'consider' my application.

The next big thing was to 'write' an application. It had been ages since I wrote one with my hand..and took me considerable amount of time and papers. After I had submitted my application and just when I thought the ordeal was over, Teju sent me an sms..saying that I have to get a Migration certificate as well!! The person incharge of migration certificates was not around. Some other day, I guess, I have to go through the same set of (em)motions to get the migration certificate.

I am not a movie buff. The last time I went to a theatre was I guess in july last year, almost a year ago, to watch Troy. This review of the film parineeta convinced me that its time I visit PVR. Although the review has more details than necessary(it pretty much gives out the end) the writing style made me feel that I have to 'see' those things happen on big screen. May be I will watch it this weekend.

I'm back

And so has my headache ..sob sob..because of sinusitis (not again!?)
Anyway, lets forget that.
There are sooooo many things to write about that I thought of writing about it!! As Richie would say, sorta meta post...
Some of the things that I want to scribble
(i) some updates, like me 'formally' submitting my resignation and me getting TA for my m.tech..
(ii) some more updates which are not really interesting but still hog most of my time..about my work in general and my team in particular..and more particularly about one of my team member who proved that the minimum intellect limit for a 'female' BE grad to enter the industry is abysmally low..and continues to pull the limit down everyday
(iii) some of those fuzzy thoughts or 'thoeries'..which have not crystallised enough to write about
(iv) the events that happened in the last week..especially 'the simple and yet special marriage' of daya..that fact that the mantras and shlokas were in kannada combined with the simplicity made it trully a one of a kind wedding..

sooo..with so many options to show off my writing abilities, will you see some activity in my blog?..hmmm guess not..I am too lazy for all these..
